Artist's Description
"Mountain Dogwood" is a photograph was taken during springtime in the Great Smoky Mountains when the Dogwood trees were in full bloom. The Dogwood tree has always been a reminder to me of Christ's sacrifice on the cross. As a child, my father used the Legend of the Dogwood tree to describe that sacrifice. The red tips at each of the 4 petals represented the blood from His hands, feet, and brow. The verse shown in the picture is a reminder of His bearing our sins on the tree, and the blood that flowed from his wounds by which we are healed. Copyright DSG Images
About Shane Garrett
Throughout my life, I have always had an interest in drawing, photography, and writing. Through DSG Images, I hope to create unique paintings and photography that will be based on biblical themes designed to encourage the viewer. When composing an image, I typically have a particular inspirational verse in mind and then I work to compose a photo or painting that will best provide a visual representation of that verse. I appreciate you taking the time to view my artwork and it is my hope to create "Images that Inspire" you in your daily walk.
