Artist's Description
"Dogwood Bloom" is a photograph was taken during springtime in the Great Smoky Mountains when the Dogwood trees were in full bloom. Just like the sister photograph "Mountain Dogwood," I also composed this image to be based on the imagery of the blood Christ shed for us on the cross. However, the verse that inspired this image is Colossians 1:20 and serves as a reminder of just how far reaching God's reconciliation was through Christ (all things on earth and things in heaven...through His blood).
